IF NOT FOR YOU LORD

I would not know that one day in Your courts, is better than a thousand elsewhere

If not for You Lord

I would not know that even on the most difficult days You are present

If not for You Lord

I would not know that life does not get better by chance but rather by the choices I make

If not for You Lord

I would not know that I need to daily water me with You

If not for You Lord

I would not know that although my sin was great, Your love was and is greater

If not for You Lord

I would not know that You work while I rest

If not for You Lord

I would not know I need to live intentional in gratitude

If not for You Lord

I would not know that the joy of You Lord is my strength

Thank You Lord

that You have gone on to prepare a place for us

Thank You Lord

that Your blood is as fresh and warm today as it was the day You shed it

Thank You Lord

that Your name will never lose its power

Thank You Lord

that You are with me every hour

Thank You Lord

that You make all things beautiful in Your time

Thank You Lord

for the knowledge of knowing You

Thank You Lord

that You love me with an everlasting love

Thank You Lord

for the gift of Your Son sent from above

Thank You Lord

that You have drawn me with everlasting lovingkindness

that You are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high
